According to the theory of reincarnation, you’ve likely lived many lifetimes, even if you don’t remember them or believe in past lives.
You return in a different role with some of the same characters you knew before, but they’re also in different costumes.
Race, gender, sexual orientation, social status, wealth, personality, religion, and more can change from one life to the next.
Here’s an example of a white male child who remembered his lifetime as a black female. At first, his family just assumed he had an over-active imagination. But after researching the details he gave, they believe he could have been a woman from Chicago who died in a fire.
One of my past life memories uncovered through regression is as a black female slave in the United States.
I perceived myself as a plump but strong, young black female who worked daily from (before) sun up to (after) sun down for a wealthy, white family. I wore a dark, basic dress with a big white, thick cotton apron. My work area, a small, open structure with a roof, was behind the large house in a far corner of the back yard. I washed clothes in a tub and used a big, metal “iron” I heated over a fire. My full-figured mother then, who died in my teens, is my thin sister now. The white neighbors then were my black neighbors in this life. One day I was working as usual in the backyard and a man in uniform rode up to me on a horse, aimed his gun at me, and fired. It wasn’t personal, just part of the war. I died immediately, saw myself leave my body, approach “the Light,” then heard myself say in surprise and joy, “Momma!” as my mother in that life welcomed me with a huge smile.
Some people demand reparations for slavery. This is short-sighted since the people responsible for slavery in the USA died generations ago and, from a spiritual viewpoint, karma and reincarnation make this world a just place.
Unfortunately, racism still exists all over the world. The USA has come a long way in reversing racism but it still can be a problem for all races. Most do what they can for race equality but some employ unfair tactics in an attempt to reverse injustices of the past. The worst offenders likely abused their “white privilege” in past lives, and they’re back to attempt to repair the damage they did, but don’t realize they’re creating negative karma for themselves in the process if they infringe on the right of others.
Hopefully racism will be a thing of the past eventually when everyone understands that your skin color is temporary, it’s not who you really are, and we’re all equal beyond the costumes we wear and roles we play.
