“Hello, I have recently been reading up on reincarnation and it has become very fascinating to me. To me it seems to be the most logical explanation if there is life after death. My question is in two parts. One, do you have any solid proof of reincarnation that would convince even a skeptic? And two, do families get reincarnated into the same families in different lives? Thanks, Brad”
My response:
Many people reject the theory of reincarnation. Here’s my opinion about why.
Die-hard skeptics often demand proof, but you cannot bring back physical evidence from a past life regression, for example.
However, there are many cases of people perceiving past life details they had no way of knowing that later checked out to be true, such as a specific house, including its address, in a city they’ve never visited or even heard about. This doesn’t prove reincarnation, but it does make the possibility of it more likely.
Watch this video about a police captain who experience past life regression, found evidence of living a past life, and is now a believer in reincarnation.
Dr. Ian Stevenson, who was a medical doctor and the head of the Department of Psychiatry and the Director of the Division of Personality Studies at the University of Virginia, scientifically documented past life memories of children from all over the world for over forty years. More than 3000cases in his collection offer the strongest evidence so far for reincarnation.
See also my blog post about a new book about children who remember past lives.
Family members do sometimes reincarnate together, but often in different roles. It’s usually to work out karma, and sometimes for support. Everyone you know now you likely knew in similar ways in previous lives. For example, an acquaintance was an acquaintance, a secret lover was a secret lover, that problematic coworker and you battled against each other in the Civil War, your wise grandmother was your mentor in ancient Egypt, and the checkout lady at the grocery store sold you produce at a market stall in ancient Rome. The present life is a mirror for past lives much more than most people realize.
The best way to be more informed about whether reincarnation is real or not is to experience past life regression with a practitioner or MP3 audio. Often the emotional experience of past life regression, along with “coincidences” relating to the regression in the following weeks or years, is enough proof of reincarnation for most objective people to consider reincarnation as a likely possibility until they have a valid reason not to believe it.

Good answer. The work of the Virginia University group has gone on from the 1950s, and some of the cases are absolutely convincing.
Anther source of strong evidence is from past life recalls under hypnosis during which the person made testable claims — and the evidence was found. An example is Peter Ramster’s film
