The world lost a beautiful soul when Robin Williams took his life. Deep, prolonged depression can affect anyone, even the wealthy, famous, and incredibly talented among us.
The tragic event caused many people to discuss depression and suicide, which is a good thing if it prevents anyone else from leaving too soon.
Below are my thoughts on depression and suicide from a different perspective.
~~ The world needs you. Even if you can’t perceive it now, you incarnated for many good reasons.
~~ Meditation may be as or more effective than anti-depressants, is less harmful, and has many more benefits.
~~ Exercise and a clean diet are required, not optional, if you are spiritually sensitive like me and want to feel better. Regular sunshine, even if it’s only five minutes at a time, helps a lot too.
If you believe that suicide is the only solution to deep, prolonged depression and, or if you’re an atheist, you’re not going to like this next part. My intent is not to judge, but to help others avoid causing even more problems by ending their life prematurely.
~~ Suicide may seem like an escape from your problems, but it’s not. While you will be free of your physical body, you, your soul, will still be “alive” and it’s not a good solution because there are spiritual ramifications from suicide.
You won’t be punished by a judging God for ending your life, but you will need to deal with the problems from which you tried to escape on the other side and, or in a future lifetime. You will have assistance from guides, but it won’t be easier than working through your problems while incarnated.
Fortunately, there’s a lot of help available. If you are having thoughts of suicide, in the USA contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, or go to your nearest hospital emergency room. You also have a lot of spiritual help available to you if you take the time to meditate and ask your guides for love, clarity, and guidance.
