“Birth in the physical is death in the spiritual. Death in the physical is birth in the spiritual.” ―Edgar Cayce, Reincarnation & Karma
The Other Side Perspective (OSP) is a spiritual approach to viewing life’s challenges through a broader lens. This two-part series explores how understanding near-death experiences and spiritual concepts can help us navigate life’s difficulties with greater peace and purpose.
We all go through hard times. It’s part of the human experience. But what if there was a way to view these challenges differently?
Even though we humans typically incarnate with spiritual amnesia, we can reduce suffering by using spiritual concepts to expand our perception of life on Earth.
After exploring metaphysical concepts over many years, I learned a technique that helps me know my soul better, increase my peace and happiness, and deal with the sometimes-harsh reality of life as a human on Earth. I call it the Other Side Perspective, or OSP.
What is OSP?
The Other Side Perspective is about perceiving situations less from our Earth-based fears, and more like souls do on the Other Side. Think of it as putting on spiritual glasses that help you see beyond immediate circumstances.
Key Principles of OSP
– Love is the fundamental truth
– Fear is temporary
– Life’s challenges have purpose
– We are more than our physical bodies
As people who have clinically died, experienced the Other Side, and then returned to their earth bodies found, the cliche only love matters is true. The more we express love, acceptance, forgiveness, and gratitude, instead of getting carried away with fear, the better off everyone will be.
Practical Application of OSP
When facing a difficult situation, ask yourself:
– How would my higher self view this challenge?
– What’s the lesson or growth opportunity here?
– How can I respond with love instead of fear?
Real-Life Example
Let’s say you’re dealing with a difficult coworker. Through OSP, instead of planning your revenge, you might:
– Consider their soul’s journey and challenges
– Look for opportunities to practice compassion
– Accept they’re creating karma they’ll have to face, eventually (don’t get tangled in it!)
– See the situation as a chance for mutual growth
Researching NDEs reminded me how much wise beings on the Other Side love us and want to help us. They reminded me to look at the big picture, that my fears are only temporary, and what’s most important is expressing love whenever possible.
After my past-life regression and meditation experiences over the last thirty-five years, and exploring NDEs, I’m convinced death is not the end, but a beginning and continuation, and that insight from the Other Side can be tremendously helpful.
You don’t need to be spiritually sensitive to benefit from the OSP. You don’t need to research the Other Side like I did, but those who do (such as through near-death experience accounts, and through past-life and between-life regressions), perceive why it’s about love, acceptance, forgiveness, and truth.
Questions for Reflection:
– How might your current challenges look different from an OSP view?
– What fears could you release by taking this perspective?
– Where in your life could you express more love and acceptance?
