Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) provide compelling evidence for the Other Side Perspective. This post explores the research, patterns, and insights from NDEs that can help us live more meaningful lives.
Here are some Surprising & Life-Changing Near-Death Experience Patterns I’ve found: https://stephenpetullo.com/surprising-life-changing-near-death-experience-patterns/
Understanding NDEs
Dr. Raymond Moody, in his 1975 book Life After Life, created the term “near-death experience,” or NDE, to represent the clinical death incidents of people he interviewed. Since then, many other respected experts have researched the subject and found similar conclusions.
Key NDE Research Findings
– Millions of people from all religions, races, ages, from all over the world have reported NDEs
– Even atheists and skeptics have had transformative experiences
– Most NDEs share common elements despite cultural differences
– These experiences often lead to profound life changes
Validating NDE Experiences
Psychiatrist Bruce Greyson outlines why most NDEs are not psychotic experiences, mental illness, or induced by drugs or medication, and the key differences between mental illness and NDEs in this video: https://youtu.be/IZMbjB0Q75E.
Identifying Authentic NDEs
In an interview with the editors of Mysterious Ways in September 2016, Dr. Moody said: “There’s something different about people who’ve actually had NDEs. They have a serenity to them. With imposters, it’s all about ‘me, me, me.’ Whereas someone who’s really been through this, it awakens a kind of modesty in them. A willingness to acknowledge that there’s a lot they don’t know.”
Please note: based on countless NDE accounts, we have a lot to look forward to after this lifetime, but this is not a good reason to “drop out of school” before it’s your time to leave. As I wrote about in my book Half on the Other Side, “I” committed suicide at least twice in previous lives, and had to live through, in my current life, what I tried to escape then. We need to make the most of our life now; the afterlife can wait.
So please, if you’ve lost your will to live, seek help. A lot of souls on this physical plane and elsewhere would love to help you, and the world needs you, even if it seems like you won’t be missed.
If you or someone you know is feeling depressed, anxious, hopeless, or considering suicide, a lot of help is available. For United States and international suicide hotlines, visit http://www.suicide.org/suicide-hotlines.html.
Action steps:
– Practice applying the Other Side Perspective to daily challenges
– Read about or watch video interviews of first-hand NDE accounts. Gain insight, from people who clinically died and then came back to life, about the “Other Side” and how it changed their perception of life.
I can’t recommend this enough because it really helps to know your soul better, get perspective about what’s most important in life, and rise above difficulties so you can be happier.
NDEs are especially valuable because they cut through all the dogma, misconceptions, misinformation, and disinformation associated with spirituality. You’ll notice patterns if you observe enough NDE accounts. Be cautious of NDE accounts sponsored by religious organizations that push a fear-based agenda.
